Photographer Statement

I’ve been fascinated by planes for my entire life. I see air travel as much more than just getting from point A to point B.

With my camera, I aim to capture the beauty of the aircrafts that transport us around the globe as well as the slices of life inside the airport. I’m always pushing the boundaries to see how creative I can be. I shoot from the ground, from the air and maybe even from the seat of a helicopter. I’m constantly keeping an eye on which jets are scheduled to arrive and from where. In order to capture the best image, I scout out new shooting locations. I know where to shoot, at what time of day and why. I take these pictures to give you a glimpse into my world. Hopefully, they’ll have you inspired and ready for takeoff!

I’m Jack Beqaj, a Toronto-based aviation photographer.

I’ve been shooting all things aviation for a few years but I’ve been fascinated with air travel since I was a young child. I shoot with a Sony camera and publish my best shots on my Instagram page devoted to showing the beauty of aviation. To date, I’ve been to 50 airports around the world. I’ve boarded 163 flights which have transported me 295,743 kilometres through the air. That’s a total of 7.5 times around the earth! I feel that life on solid ground is overrated when there’s a whole sky to explore.

About+Me+Page.jpg

To most people, the sky is the limit. To those who love aviation, the sky is home.

My passion for aviation is an incredible thing that came from a difficult time in my life. Plane spotting led me to discover a whole new world.
